Med James, Inc. is a private company, operating as a full service Managing General Agency and Wholesaler since it’s founding in 1976. The corporate headquarters is located in Overland Park, Kansas, and provides centralized processing for branch offices in Springfield, St. Louis, Little Rock, and Tucson. In 1995, the Company purchased and moved to its current corporate building, the additional space facilitating the steady growth that continues to this day. The company employs approximately 150 people, whose efforts are coordinated by a management staff of 13.
The Company is dedicated to both commercial and personal lines business by underwriting or brokering individual risk submissions according to agreed upon risk selection and pricing guidelines. Med James, Inc. underwriting facilities manage various commercial and personal lines programs including Transportation, Garage (Non-Franchised Auto and Garage Services), and Personal Lines, which includes Property and Private Passenger Personal Auto. Additionally, the Property and Casualty Department aggressively places business with a strong selection of specialty carriers, both admitted and non-admitted. The primary territory consists of the states of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Colorado.
